Led by longtime educator Elaine Schladoer, our childcare center offers a personalized alternative to large, franchise-based programs. Every classroom is filled with intentional learning moments, hands-on discovery, and joyful connection, from infants just beginning their journey to pre-K children preparing for what’s next. Our roots in the community run deep. We’re here not just to care for your children, but to walk with your family, offering a daycare and preschool in Boerne that you can truly trust.

About Our Director

Elaine Schladoer has dedicated her life to nurturing and educating generations of children and families in the Hill Country. With over 29 years of experience as the Director of Little Red Caboose, Elaine has been a cornerstone in early childhood education, providing not only a safe and enriching environment for children but also a trusted and supportive presence for their families.

A proud Boerne High School graduate, Elaine continued her education at SST Travel School. Her passion for people and commitment to early learning have shaped her professional journey and left a lasting impact on the community she serves.

Now, as Director of Hill Country Early Learning Center, Elaine brings her decades of experience, deep community roots, and heartfelt dedication to continue investing in the growth, development, and success of young learners. Elaine finds joy in building lifelong relationships and being a part of the milestones that shape a family’s journey. She is a devoted wife, proud mother of two grown daughters, and “Mimi” to seven cherished grandchildren. Her legacy is one of compassion, connection, and an unwavering belief in the potential of every child.
